A Bright New Star: EP Guidi Completes the Aramark STAR Complex at Temple University

January 9th, 2018

E.P. Guidi is proud to announce the completion of the Aramark Student Training and Recreation (STAR) Complex at Temple University.  The 110,000 square foot Complex, situated behind Pearson-McGonigle Halls, serves the needs of the University’s College of Public Health, Athletics and Campus Recreation Departments.

The entrance features a two-and-a-half-story glass atrium with a climbing wall, lounge area and juice bar.  The Campus Recreation area includes a 10,000 square foot free weight and cardio facility.  The Athletics Department’s Indoor Pavilion houses a 70-yard turf field for use by intercollegiate athletics, as well as Temple’s 36 club sports teams and 10 intramural teams. The exterior of the building includes a new 400-meter, 2-lane track encircling the facility.

The College of Public Health occupies a significant portion of the building, and provides much needed clinical education space for students in the areas of physical therapy, occupational therapy, recreation therapy and physical training.  The academic portion of the building features two floors of state-of-the-art lecture and lab space, as well as an ADA Accessible Living Suite containing kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living areas to help students hone their training skills in this area.

E.P. Guidi is honored to have completed this project for Temple University.
