1933

Brothers Enzo and John Guidi leave Italy and arrive in the USA, creating the beginning of what is now E.P Guidi, Inc., as they work with their father, remodeling homes in Philadelphia.

1946

Enzo and John start their own building company - Guidi Brothers.

1954

Enzo opens E.P. Guidi Co.

1960

Enzo builds his first 7-Eleven store in Willow Grove, PA. The company goes on to construct over 350 7-Eleven stores throughout the Tri-State area.

1963

E.P. Guidi Co. incorporates and becomes E.P. Guidi, Inc. while Enzo's sons Gene, Peter and Phillip are actively working for the company.

1983

Gene is made president of E.P. Guidi, Inc., as the company continues to provide the region with a wealth of construction expertise.

1999

The General Building Contractors Association (GBCA) awards E.P. Guidi, Inc. with one of many Construction Excellence Awards for the company's outstanding work in aviation construction for the Corporate Jet Hangar Cluster at PHL.

2000

The company's exceptional work in the field of aviation construction is once again recognized by the GBCA with a Construction Excellence Award for the Dobbs International Services Airline Catering Facility at PHL.

2001

For the third year in a row, the GBCA bestows the Construction Excellence Award to E.P. Guidi, Inc. for the company's excellence in aviation construction; this time for the Atlantic Aviation Fixed Base Operations Facility at PHL.

2002

E.P. Guidi is presented with the Golden Trowel Award by the International Masonry Institute for its construction of The Promenade at Sagemore, an upscale open-air retail center in Marlton, NJ.

2010

E.P. Guidi's sustainable construction expertise is highlighted by the GBCA, who awards the company with the Construction Excellence Award for Best Green Building for the LEED© Gold certified Springfield Literacy Center.

2011

Two of E.P. Guidi's urban commercial projects are recognized by the GBCA with back-to-back consecutive Construction Excellence Awards for Best Commercial Project (The Fresh Grocer on the campus of Temple University in 2010 and 1619 Walnut Street in downtown Philadelphia in 2011).

2014

E.P. Guidi, Inc. is proud to construct the new home of Temple University's Architecture School, a LEED© Silver certified, state of the art facility.

2015

E.P. Guidi is honored by the GBCA with a Construction Excellence Award for Best Institutional Project for the Pocono Medical Center West End Healthcare Center.

2018

E.P. Guidi is honored with GBCA's 2018 Construction Excellence Award for Best Hospitality Project for Philadelphia International Airport - Terminal B: Restaurants and Retail.

2020

E.P. Guidi is honored with the 2020 Merit Award in General Design from the American Society of Landscape Architects for the Temple University Aramark STAR Complex.

2021

E.P. Guidi is awarded the 2021 National Safety Award by the Associated General Contractors of America in recognition of an exemplary Zero Incident Safety Record.

2023

E.P. Guidi is awarded two Construction Excellence Awards for the Island Waterpark at Showboat Resort project - Best Hospitality Project and Excellence in Craftsmanship: $50+ Million.
