E.P. Guidi has played a key role in the expansion and modernization of ShopRite, the largest retailer-owned cooperative in the United States. What began as an eight-member cooperative in the 1940s has grown into a network employing over 50,000 people across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, New York, Maryland, and Connecticut. E.P. Guidi’s work has supported both new construction and renovation projects, often combining both within the same facility while keeping stores fully operational.
Notable projects include the Hamilton, NJ, location, where an existing 86,000-square-foot ShopRite underwent extensive renovation. The scope included 51,000 square feet of demolition alongside 54,000 square feet of new construction, all completed without disrupting daily operations. At Brick, NJ, the team constructed a 22,000-square-foot addition and renovated approximately 52,000 square feet of existing space, again maintaining full store functionality throughout the project.
The ShopRite program reflects E.P. Guidi’s ability to execute large-scale, multi-site programs that require careful planning, precision, and collaboration. From extensive renovations to new construction, the team consistently delivers projects that meet aggressive schedules while maintaining safety and operational continuity.
