E.P. Guidi has worked with Trader Joe’s on an ongoing program of grocery store projects throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, and New York. The scope has ranged from complete ground-up construction to interior fit-outs, expansions, and mechanical upgrades. Sites have included both standalone suburban stores and urban locations built within multi-story mixed-use and parking structures.
Each project presents its own conditions while maintaining Trader Joe’s consistent brand and store standards. E.P. Guidi manages the full construction process from shell turnover through refrigeration, equipment installation, and finishes. Typical scopes include new mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems, polished or colored concrete floors, and coordination of equipment platforms and service rooms located on rooftops or upper levels.
Close coordination among landlords, architects, refrigeration designers, and specialty subcontractors is central to each project’s success. Many locations require work in active retail centers or dense city settings, with limited access, tight delivery windows, and strict opening schedules.
Trader Joe’s continues to engage E.P. Guidi for new and repeat assignments across the region, reflecting a trusted partnership built on consistency, communication, and a deep understanding of the brand’s operational and technical requirements.
