What began as a small cooperative with eight members in the 1940’s has grown to become the largest retailer-owned cooperative in the United States, employing more than 50,000 people throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, New York, Maryland and Connecticut. The projects listed below are comprised of both new construction and renovation work, with some including both. At Hamilton, for example, we renovated an existing 86,000 sf ShopRite, which included 51,000 sf of demolition and 54,000 sf of new construction; all of this occurred while the supermarket was fully operational. At Brick, we constructed a 22,000 sf addition and renovated approximately 52,000 sf of existing space, again while the facility remained fully operational. Our ShopRite projects include:
