Ridley Park, PA
Ridley Microtel, LLC | FORM Architectural Group
E.P. Guidi constructed a new four-story, 36,000 SF Microtel Inn & Suites in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania. The 79-key hotel was developed to serve business travelers and visitors to the Philadelphia International Airport area, featuring a business center, fitness room, and breakfast and common areas.
The project combined wood-frame stick construction with prefabricated joists and trusses to achieve an efficient structure and consistent quality across all floors. As construction advanced, the team encountered a required redesign around the elevator shaft that impacted the building’s central framing. E.P. Guidi worked closely with the structural engineer and carpentry subcontractor to develop revised details, allowing work to continue while minimizing cost and schedule impacts.

Construction Excellence Award
GBCA (2016)
Safety was a top priority throughout construction, particularly during leading-edge framing operations on the upper levels. Coordination among trades and consistent field oversight ensured safe progress as the building advanced vertically.
Completed under a lump sum contract with RACP funding and certified payroll requirements, the Microtel Inn & Suites demonstrates E.P. Guidi’s ability to deliver hospitality projects that balance structural efficiency, cost control, and quality execution. The finished hotel provides a modern lodging option for travelers while contributing to the continued economic development of the Ridley Park community.
